A timeless style

The solution
We looked for an alternative to leather while wanting to keep the best of its properties: flexibility and durability.
Several tests were carried out on "natural" materials: pineapple, grape...
To our great disappointment, they were not conclusive either in terms of comfort or resistance.
Our best result to date: a French linen upper, a recycled and GRS certified inner lining, all firmly supported by organic American corn guarantors and a 70% recycled sole.
carefully selected materials
Strong and breathable
The material is the basis of craftsmanship: without beautiful material, there is no beautiful product.
That's why we leave nothing to chance: the upper of the sneaker is made of linen, one of the most resistant materials available and with exceptional properties.
For the summer, for example: it will breathe, dry quickly and can therefore be worn barefoot, while wicking away perspiration.
It comes from the north of France, from our supplier Lemaitre Demeestere.
The choice of this high quality natural material is the guarantee of solidity and comfort of the brand. It will have a long life ahead of it.

Well in your shoes, well in your head
Our inner lining is made of 35% recycled plastic bottles (RPET system), 40% polyester, 20% cotton.
But above all, it is certified GRS (Globale Recycled Standard), an international standard.
What this means in concrete terms:
- Strict restrictions on chemical composition
- Audits carried out every year
- Transparency on the composition of recycled materials
- The product contains a minimum of 50% recycled fiber
- Fundamental rights granted to workers: wages, union rights, working hours, etc.
To put it simply, we guarantee recycled textiles with respect to environmental and social criteria.
Call for reinforcements
To hold it all together, you can pull out the popcorn: Vegan, bio-sourced, lower water consumption, low carbon, sustainable...
We present you our new substitute for the guarantors and the back heel which has all the qualities of a real leather, the ethics in more.
This one is recycled from organic American corn, not intended for food and biodegradable. It is naturally hypoallergenic and antimicrobial. In other words, it allows the sneaker to breathe and stay clean.
In addition to being soft to the touch, it does not mark at the folds and does not scratch.

Goodbye bulbs
All stitches have been removed.
You will not have any more friction at this level, even for those who have a thin and fragile tendon skin.

First of cleanliness
This vegan insole is made of PU foam (polyurethane) that follows the shape of the foot. It was chosen for its self-modeling properties at the arch level, which relieves pressure on the foot.
This foam is covered with the same recycled material as the guarantors, namely corn, with all its properties that go with it.
In addition to being removable and easy to clean, it is non-toxic and odorless.

Outsole
Paris, at Baron Papillon, is the Place de l'Étoile. We took back our unique design scrupulously retracing the square and the avenues that lead to it.
Concerning the composition, we had a demanding specification for our new Portuguese supplier:
- our sole is 75% recycled using rubber scraps,
- kerosene oil
- antioxidants and antiozonants
- reinforcing charges and gas pedals.
The high abrasion coefficient guarantees a high durability. Its 3 cm height protects the shaft from friction. Not too imposing, not too thin, just in phase with the ground.
MADE UP TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL
Classy and festive
Depending on your profession, it can be tricky to choose a pair of shoes that are both high-end and versatile for optimal comfort.
No need to think about it: the green sneaker can be paired with jeans or a dress and worn in any circumstance between client meetings and outings.
The perfect compromise for a casual pair.

A tone on tone butterfly
For our first pair made from recycled materials, we use a hot stamping process with no additives. This process is not chemical.
You will choose the sober and noble look of the insect silhouette, symbol of our brand.
A new color
In the continuity of the improvements we make to our sneakers, a new honey color has been developed for the sole wall.
It differs from the usual white wall, remains sober and is not dirty. It is at the same time sober, not very dirty and trendy.
In short, you can put them everywhere.

eco-responsible and French
A reasoned production
Concerned about environmental issues, we have always wanted sneakers that were elegant and clever, but also part of a slow fashion movement.
We adhere to the principle of "zero destruction" of our unsold goods and continue to develop creative processes that favor the search for European materials that are truly environmentally friendly, while also associating ourselves with ecological collaborative projects.

Made in France
Upstream, we are working on the development of the first prototypes in
Montjean-sur-Loire:
- Final drawing and choice of materials by our artistic director Eric Gallais
- First prototype in the design office
- Once this one is validated, we move on to the stitching stage, i.e. the production of the rods
Then it is the assembly of the soles with the stem:
- Hot glued with a machine specially designed for our Barons
- Cold sewn with the sewing machine of our grandmothers
Finally the final preparation :
- Inserting the laces
- Putting in place of the herbal sole
- Recovery of the upcycled boxes to put our sneakers in
By manufacturing in France, we shorten our production time, we reduce our carbon footprint, we contribute to strengthen our local expertise. And we are proud of our know-how.
A controlled upcycling
And to the end.
The vintage shoe boxes were recovered from an old French manufacture of the 80s on which we affixed our logo.

Cleaning instructions
It is easy to clean: soap and a damp cloth (no solvents)
