I consider any day I don't dance to be wasted.
Friedrich Nietzsche

Soft as a ballerina
Our sneaker, lined with cotton canvas, feels like you're walking gracefully on a cloud. It will give you a feeling of lightness, a real star dancer.
A glove for your feet
Its leather hugs the shape of the foot to the millimeter.
This is also thanks to the use of a very thin outsole.
The stiffener that stiffens the back has been removed, while maintaining the support of your foot.
The Italian calf leather has a velvety appearance and a skin as soft as a peach.

MADE UP TO THE SMALLEST DETAIL

The butterfly
The silhouette of the insect, embodying freedom and movement, is at the heart of the brand. Its crown originates from the heraldry of the Renaissance barons. This golden logo was designed in collaboration with a French jewelry house. It took many steps to achieve this elegant result.
The ribbon
For the highlight, a delicate satin bow is added to the shoe, giving it a sensual and feminine touch, like a beautiful enchanted interlude. These durable laces are flexible and water resistant.

CAREFULLY SELECTED MATERIALS
A polished leotard
The material is the basis of the craft work: without beautiful material, no beautiful product. The calf leather from Italy has a velvety aspect offering a skin as soft as a peach.

Clean insole
Baron loves Repetto.
Repetto loves Baron.
Thanks to Repetto for allowing Baron Papillon to create a sneaker inspired by the ballerina spirit.
This sole is also removable, allowing you to replace it if needed.
ÉCO-FRIENDLY AND FRENCH
A balanced production
Sensitive to environmental issues, we have always wanted sneakers to be elegant and astute, but also in line with slow fashion.
We adhere to the principle of « zero destruction » of our unsold stock and we continue developing creative processes for researching European based materials that respect the environment while associating ourselves in collaborative eco projects.

Made in France
Once the soles and materials are sourced, the rest happens in Montjean-sur-Loire. There, we make the first prototypes, we make the final samples, we make the logo markings, we assemble the soles with the uppers by a sewing/gluing process in an oven thanks to an automated sewing machine and adjusted according to each size, we insert the laces and finally we put the shoes in our upcycled boxes and affix the labels.
By manufacturing in France, we shorten our production time, we reduce our carbon footprint, we contribute to strengthen our local expertise. And we are proud of our know-how.
Managed Upcycling
And we continue. Our vintage shoe boxes are made from an old stock that was fabricated in France in the 80’s to which added our logo.

Initially a leather goods and shoe designer at Yves Saint Laurent, and later at Gucci and Loewe, Eric Gallais is above all a long-time friend of Eric Lemaitre. It was therefore natural to offer his help in his project by designing his models.
It has become a bit like the "2 Erics" brand...
Since 2020, Eric Gallais also brings his unique knowledge as a stylist at Repetto. He has a project for several months, that of creating a sneaker by taking the best of both worlds: Repetto and Baron Papillon.
His goal: to design a fine and sensual shoe, without making it look like a large sneaker.
To do this, he took the codes of the dance: the flexibility of a ballerina, a pink skin and soft as a peach, and a feminine ribbon crowning the whole.
The Rosa was born from this creation, paying tribute to the founder of the eponymous House, Rose Repetto.
Cleaning instruction
It is easy to clean: soap and a damp cloth (no solvents)
