A tone on tone butterfly

For this new vegan collection, we use a heat seal with no additives.

This process is non-chemical. You chose for a sober and noble appearance of the silhouette of the insect that is the symbol of our brand.

Following your comments, we reworked the assembly of the heal, the stitching was removed there will be no more rubbing at that position, even for those with thin and fragile tendon skin.

The sole is honey colored. It is sober, less inclined to look dirty and trendy.

So, you can basically wear them everywhere.

carefully selected materials

A perfect combination

We have researched an alternative to leather while retaining its best properties: flexibility and durability. Unfortunately, and to our great regret, our wear tests with these « natural » materials proved to be non-conclusive in terms of comfort and durability.

The best result was obtained using an agglomerated support of non-woven synthetic fibers covered with a polyurethane coating.  To keep it simple, this substitute reproduces the same touch and feel of Nubuck, in addition to offering greater durability.

Clean insole

This insole which has vegan properties is conceived and cut in one piece out of a roll of polyurethane foam. The PU keeps the foot print and has enhanced shock absorption. In addition, the insole is removable and easy to clean.

Sole

Paris, at Baron Papillon, it is the « Place de l’Étoile. We are re-using our unique design which identically retraces the roundabout and the avenues that enter it.

Concerning the composition, we provided our new Portuguese supplier with very strict specifications:

- our sole is to be composed of 75% recycled rubber
- 20 % natural rubber
- 5% synthetic rubber

The abrasion coefficient is high and guarantees durability. Its 3 cm height protects the uppers against scratchs. Neither too big or too thin, just in keeping with the ground.

Eco-Friendly & French

A balanced production

Sensitive to environmental issues, we have always wanted sneakers to be elegant and astute, but also in line with slow fashion.

We adhere to the principle of « zero destruction » of our unsold stock and we continue developing creative processes for researching European based materials that respect the environment while associating ourselves in collaborative eco projects.

Made in France

Once the insoles are sourced, the rest of the process occurs in Montjean-sur-Loire. There, we make the first prototypes, we produce the final samples to which we apply the stickers and logos, we assemble the sole and uppers using a stitch/glue in an oven thanks to an automated sewing machine calibrated to match each size, we insert the laces et finally we put the shoes in them upcycled boxes.

By producing in France, we reduce our production time, we reduce our carbon foot print, and we continue to reinforce our local expertise.  And we are proud of our French culture and creative expertise.

Managed Upcycling

And we continue. Our vintage shoe boxes are made from an old stock that was fabricated in France in the 80’s to which added our logo.

It is easy to clean: soap and humid cloth (no solvants).

  • Baron Papillon c'est pour moi l'assurance d'un service client de qualité, à l'écoute. Comme toutes les petites entreprises artisanales françaises, il peut y avoir des délais rallongés bien indépendants de la bonne volonté de Baron Papillon : dans ce cas, le client est prévenu, accompagné. Je peux d'autant mieux accepter de patienter dans ce cas-là que la qualité des produits est indiscutable : le confort et la qualité sont vraiment excellents. C'est bien simple, j'irai au bout du monde à pied chaussée de mes baskets !

  • J’ai découvert la marque Baron Papillon il y a quelques années et j’y suis toujours fidèle ! Non seulement pour le confort et la qualité mais aussi pour l’esthétique. Je les porte souvent sur des émissions ou des événements, elle se font toujours remarquer.
