No, it’s not a spelling mistake! It’s a return to our beloved past. Your Sneaker can now be found in golden letters with its original name, Barons Papillom.

Why such a change?

Initially, the name patented by Eric was Barons Papillom, which was a kind of reminder of the mantra’s "om" and of French knighthood. A certain art of elegant and careless living, "I baronne and I papillome”. In 2020, we decided to simplify the writing for reasons of referencing and understanding, with the name Baron Papillon. However, without knowing it, this name – too close to a foreign brand which claimed its patent rights – forced us to make a step backwards. So, ladies and gentlemen, may OM be with us forever and ever!

With its warm color, it will make a harmonious sensation with your favorite wardrobe for any season!

Thanks to its 180° opening, your foot slides effortlessly into the shoe. We’re proud to see that we are the only ones to have thought of it, but we’re even prouder that there are so many of you out there that like it.

Leather outside and leather inside, Mid Royal provides you with 100% comfort. More than a shoe, it’s like a glove for your feet. Coming from an Italian tannery, the inside lining made of pierced leather offers you a soft, gentle sensation, even when you wear them in your bare feet, without socks. A new fitting further accentuates this shoe’s qualities of comfort. In just a few days, the leather softens and takes on the morphology of your foot.

Baron Papillon is a French-made brand of high quality sneakers. We pay particular attention to the quality of our raw materials, to the modern style of our line and to the precision of details and to the final touches. All of these “little” things which enable you to associate our models to all situations you may encounter, from the most casual ones to the most formal ones

CAREFULLY SELECTED MATERIALS

There’s no good product without good material. It’s the basis of handicraft work. This is why we don’t neglect anything: the quality of the leathers used is a just compromise between softness and rigidity. Like the inside lining, the upper lining is made of calf leather from Italy. It will have a long life and as time goes by, it will also have a beautiful sheen.

Fabriquées en Espagne, nos nouvelles semelles de propreté sont recouvertes de cuir de veau. Elles sont conçues pour épouser la forme du pied et absorber les chocs.


Ces semelles améliorent l’hygiène plantaire en favorisant l’aération. En d’autres termes, les sneakers peuvent être portées nu-pieds, tout en maintenant les pieds au sec.


Amovible, cette semelle se remplacer facilement si besoin.

Semelle extérieure

Chez Baron Papillon, Paris, c’est la Place de l’Etoile ; notre semelle reprend notre design unique retraçant scrupuleusement la place et les avenues qui y accèdent.

Un cahier des charges exigeant :

- recyclée à 75% avec des chutes de caoutchouc,

- composée à 20% de caoutchouc naturel,

- et à 5% de caoutchouc synthétique.

Le coefficient d’abrasion élevé vous garantit une forte durabilité. Sa hauteur de 3 cm protège la tige des frottements.

Soucieux des problèmes environnementaux, nous avons toujours voulu des sneakers élégantes et astucieuses, mais aussi inscrites dans un mouvement de mode lente.

Nous adhérons au principe « zéro destruction » de nos invendus et continuons de développer des processus créatifs privilégiant la recherche de matériaux européens réellement respectueux de l’environnement, tout en s’associant à des projets collaboratifs écologiques.

Sans belle matière, pas de beau produit ! Chez Baron, la qualité des cuirs a été rehaussée, tout comme la doublure interne. La tige est constituée de cuir de veau provenant d’Italie.

En amont, un brief d’Eric pour chaque modèle, et Benoit propose plusieurs dessins. Une fois le dessin de la nouvelle sneaker validé, c’est le choix des matières premières, en provenance de France et d’Europe afin de favoriser un circuit court. A réception à Montjean-sur-Loire, Cathy et son équipe, élaborent le prototype depuis le dessin sélectionné.

Découpage, piqûre, assemblage de la semelle avec la tige, collage de la semelle à chaud, ce n’est pas moins de 35 étapes dans toute la chaine de production.

Rien n’est laissé au hasard. Chaque étape passe entre les mains expertes de nos artisans français, et chaque paire est bichonnée jusqu’à sa préparation finale et sa mise en boite.

Ce qui nous engage ? Une production 100% made in France et depuis peu, des boites en carton recyclé, fabriquées en France, à La Roche-sur-Yon. Plus légère, elles nous permettent d’accroitre la réduction de notre impact environnemental et de l’empreinte carbone lié au transport.
